MCS stands for Microgeneraton Certification Scheme. The scheme provides an ongoing, independent, third party assessment of all MCS Installers. This ensures that the requirements and appropriate standards are adhered to. Dorrell Renewables are MCS Accredited. This Accreditation is essential if you want to benefit from Feed in Tariff (FiT). Without a certificate from the Installer you will not be able to sell your surplus electricity to the National Grid.
For further information please see the MCS website, or contact the team and we will be happy to answer any queries you may have.
The MCS Scheme has been established to provide potential operators of small wind turbines (<50kW) with confidence in the power output and annual energy yield of these wind turbines.
The Scheme introduced a minimum set of requirements that small wind turbines must meet, which must be demonstrated by undertaking a series of tests. In order to claim the Feed in Tariff it is essential that you purchase an MCS accredited Wind Turbine and that you use an MCS Accredited installer. Dorrell Renewables Ltd are MCS Accredited to undertake "The Supply, Design, Installation, Set to Work Commissioning and Handover of Wind Turbine Systems" under the Microgeneration Installation Standards MCS 001 and MCS MIS 3003.
